Sri Lanka is the fourth largest coconut producing country in the world and coconut occupies 440,000 ha, which amount to 20% of the total cultivable land area. Sri Lanka occupies third and fourth place respectively in cultivated area and production, earning about US$ 143 million through export of coconut products |
